Dr. Scott Atlas, a leading member of President Trump’s coronavirus task force, has stated “The only way this stops is if people rise up.”
The professor was responding to the decree of a new lockdown by Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer. In the tweet Atlas encouraged people of Michigan to “rise up”, and added “You get what you accept. with the hashtags #FreedomMatters #StepUp”:
Within seconds of the comment, leftists jumped onto Twitter to attack Atlas, one claiming he was ‘endangering’ Whitmer’s life, whilst another tweeted that he had "blood on his hands"
In response to the usual Twitter Mob, Atlas Tweeted:
"I NEVER was talking at all about violence.. NEVER would I endorse or incite violence.."
Whitmer responded to Atlas during an interview with CNN, stating “We know that the White House likes to single us out here in Michigan — me out in particular. I’m not gonna be bullied into not following reputable scientists and medical professionals.”
