The Immigration Scam that Made Kemi Badenoch 'British'

Kemi Badenoch could be the next leader of the Conservative Party, despite not being British and having no connection to this country. 'No connection with this country' I hear the liberals cry. How can I say such a thing? Kemi Badenoch is a British Citizen, she was born in this country, surely that makes her a British as any of us?!

The liberals might clutch their pearls at the mere suggestion—after all, they’ll tell you Badenoch is British. She was born here, wasn't she? So that makes her just as British as the rest of us, right? Well, yes she was born in Britain, but under some very dubious circumstances. In fact, they reek of an immigration scam.

Her mother, a Nigerian woman living in Nigeria, made a suspiciously well-timed trip to London whilst heavily pregnant. She gave birth to Kemi on British soil, then promptly returned to Nigeria with the new born. Under the law at the time, that was all it took—Kemi became a British citizen simply because she was born here.

But let's be clear: Kemi didn't grow up in Britain. She was raised in Nigeria, and even went to school in America for a while before returning to Nigeria. Her only real connection to Britain was her place of birth—a cynical loophole her parents exploited.

This wasn’t an isolated incident either. Back then, it was a well-known immigration scam. Thousands of women from failing states would come to the UK partly because of ‘free healthcare’  but chiefly because it gave the child entitlement to a British passport. They would often come under the guise of ‘holidaying’ while pregnant, automatically acquiring British citizenship for their children.

Fast forward to the 1990s, and Nigeria becomes unstable again. Suddenly, Kemi’s mother remembers that her daughter is 'British'. Cue Badenoch’s relocation to the UK—the first time she’d really set foot in the country she’s now aiming to lead.

It also entitled Kemi to have her family here, which was duly the case.  Father, Mother and two siblings all because citizens of the UK thanks to Kemi’s mother taking advantage of a loophole in British law.

Now, Kemi Badenoch loves to preach about controlling immigration, tightening borders, and who should and shouldn’t be allowed into this country. But here’s the kicker—she’s only here because of an immigration scam pulled by her mother.
