On Saturday November 2nd, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m. police were alerted by a member of the public that a severed head had been discovered laying in the middle of a street in the Cowgate area of Edinburgh.
The person who had discovered the head had initially thought it was fake, perhaps something to do with Halloween, only to find out the gruesome truth when they picked it up.
The head was cleanly decapitated from the body, which was nowhere to be seen and there was no blood in the street as you might expect with such a horrific dismemberment.
The police responded within minutes of the call, cordoning off road and surrounding streets, examining the scene for clues as to what happened.
Police say it was a 'road traffic collision'.
After examining the scene, talking to eye witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage police issued a statement saying that the victim, a 74-year-old man, had died after being struck by a single-decker bus. Later the police stated that they’d yet to find the bus, or in fact, the driver responsible.
The man’s body also remains missing, along with the eight pints of blood that would have bled from it when the man’s head was severed. Police have made no mention of the man's body at all during their statements.
Exactly how a bus could have cleanly decapitated a man's head, leaving it perfectly intact, whilst removing the body and leaving the scene without a single drop of blood police are not saying.
Nothing to see here.
By omitting these fundamental details they are inferring that the bus driver was unaware of the incident, or failed to stop, and that the vehicle must have carried on its journey, dragging the man’s body along, after the decapitation, completely unseen by passengers or members of the public. They are also inferring that the bus returned to the depot, completely undamaged.
In addition, the police have also warned the public not to speculate on the incident, or to share any details of it on social media out of respect to the deceased’s family.
Official explanation 'implausible'
Since the Initial incident was reported authorities have remained silent causing inevitable anger from the public. The official explanation is not only 'implausible' it also raises more questions than it answers.
Where IS the body? Why is there no blood at the scene? Where is the bus they claim was involved in the incident? How, exactly, can a bus decapitate a man so cleanly? How did the bus driver no know what had happened? Why, after 10 days has the vehicle or the driver not been identified? Authorities are refusing to answer any questions whilst 'warning off' the public from suggesting anything more obvious in much the same way we saw in the days after the Southport incident.
Whatever the truth of this case, it is highly unlikely that a traffic accident was the cause.
