Drug found to be useful in treatment of Covid-19 after all say experts

Hydroxychloroquine made headlines around the world in May last year when President Trump announced to the press that he was taking the drug as a preventive measure against Coronavirus. The drug, which has been used in the treatment of Malaria infections for over 65 years was, until that point, routinely being used by thousands of clinicians to help fight Coronavirus infection.
As soon as it was known that Trump was “promoting it as a cure” (he wasn't) it became reclassified; first by the media, and then by many of the Trump-hating scientific community. The World Health Organisation, who Trump had withdrawn the US from only days before, saw an opportunity to get their own back on him, and hurriedly rushed out statements and reevaluations that overturned its previous analysis of the drug. ‘Experts’ in the field of medicine, who all just happened to be vocal haters of Trump, rushed to discredit the drug, and thus the President, wheeling out all sorts of unsubstantiated claims about it; how it was ineffective against Covid-19 and, even more untruthfully, could be dangerous to take.
The media immediately called Trump irresponsible, with some vowing that the drug would “kill him” and anyone else who took it.
Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer called Trump’s remarks about Hydroxychloroquine “dangerous.” telling MSNBC “Maybe he’s really not taking it because the president lies about things characteristically,” adding “I don’t know whether he is taking it or not. I know him saying he is taking it, whether he is or not, is reckless, reckless, reckless.”[sic].
Whilst demented octogenarian Nancy Pelosi said that the President being 'Morbidly obese' meant that she rather he didn't take it.
Hydroxychloroquine was always considered to be safe for all people even by the WHO and it was only after Trump told the media he was an advocate of it that Hydroxychloroquine became the devil. Even a number of Research Publications, like the Lancet, published fraudulent data, that was later retracted, saying that Hydroxychloroquine either didn't work or killed people.
However, none of the narrative that was said about Hydroxychloroquine, post Trump announcement, was true. The trashing of Hydroxychloroquine was entirely politically motivated, with the public being 'collateral damage' in the media and academia's demented attempt to perform another 'gotcha' on Trump.
Contrary to what the media said Hydroxychloroquine has been a safe and effective medication throughout the world for 65 years. It was developed from tree bark and then turned into quinine which was used by the British in India to protect against malaria infection.
Today the synthetic form which is Hydroxychloroquine is used throughout the world and is a WHO mandated necessary medication to protect against Malaria pandemics, whilst it's been used in the United States for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis on a daily basis for decades in patients who take it every single day, including pregnant women, nursing mothers, children and the elderly. In Africa it's considered to be a supplement and sold over the counter in many countries safely and effectively until this year.
Now that Trump is out of the picture, the scientific community have suddenly changed their tune again. Hydroxychloroquine is once again one of those drugs showing 'considerable promise' in the treatment of Covid-19. Now that Trump is gone, the media don't care about Hydroxychloroquine, the Medical Journals have deleted their false claims, and the scientific community are running trials on its effectiveness against Coronavirus again. You really couldn't make this shit up.
Hydroxychloroquine is being discarded prematurely in COVID-19 prevention
"Hydroxychloroquine could still prevent COVID-19 and save tens of thousands of lives around the world, say leading scientific researchers. While it doesn’t work in treatment of hospitalised patients, it could still prevent infections. However, fraudulent data, unjustified extrapolation and exaggerated safety concerns together with intense politicisation and negative publicity may stop COPCOV, the only large, global clinical trial testing hydroxychloroquine in COVID-19 prevention, from ever finding out."
But the most damning analysis comes from Dr Mark McDonald who says:
"If all americans had access to Hydroxychloroquine the pandemic would essentially end in about 30 days"
