Despite Facebook trying to bury the story, the claim about the COVID-19 virus leaking from a Wuhan Laboratory just won’t go away. Every time an announcement is made that denies its origins being from the Chinese research facility, evidence of the contrary appears to emerge, casting doubt on the denials.
Noise about the Wuhan Lab just won’t die down, so much so that intelligence services around the world, including UK, US, and Australian, are investigating the theory.
In the latest twist it has emerged that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the face of Trump’s Coronavirus task force, previously backed funding for a controversial lab in Wuhan, China, that has been studying the coronavirus in bats the New York Post reports. Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had shelled out some $7.4 million to the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab — which has become the focus of theories about the origin of COVID-19. The National Institutes of Health, which oversees the NIAID, only shut down funding to the lab LAST WEEK.
The Director of the Wuhan Laboratory has again denied any link between his lab and Coronavirus, saying: “The origin’s a mystery”. In an interview with Reuters New Agency Yuan Zhiming, professor at Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the director of its National Biosafety Laboratory, claimed that the idea was “pulled out of thin air” and contradicted all available evidence. Evidence that he, his laboratory, and Chinese authorities have provided.
Last week Zhiming made the same claims to Breitbart News Network but their reporter seemed unconvinced with his testimony.
Although the ‘official’ story remains that the origins of Coronavirus are ‘a complete mystery’, according to a report in the Australian Daily Telegraph, the so called ‘Five eyes’ intelligence co-operative – agencies in Australia, Canada, NZ, UK and US, are all investigating senior scientist at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Peng Zhou, with regards to the potential of the Coronavirus leaking from the lab. The report claims that intelligence officials are examining “whether COVID-19 originated from a wet market or whether the naturally-occurring virus may have been released from the level four laboratory in Wuhan that was studying deadly Coronavirus pathogens from bats.”
The report also notes that the Australian government co-funded Zhou’s research into bat borne viruses, in co-operation with the Chinese government. It reveals that the scientist also spent three years at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory between 2011 and 2014, as part of a study involving transporting bats from Queensland to the lab to be dissected and studied for viruses. In addition, a world renowned Russian microbiologist claimed last week that the novel coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic was the result of Wuhan scientists doing “absolutely crazy things” in their lab.
